Meet Jamo
Every great business starts with a good story—and a great nickname.
Jamie Stec, affectionately known as “Jamo” by her friends (because let’s face it, it just sounds better), is the brains, heart, and rolling hands behind Jamo’s Meatballs.
Why meatballs? Well, Jamie’s secret weapon has always been her legendary meatloaf. But let’s be honest—meatloaf just doesn’t sound sexy. After years of getting teased for loving the dish (“You brought what to the potluck?!”), she flipped the script and gave her beloved recipe a glow-up. Enter: the meatball.
Inspired by the classic comfort of her favorite food and the North Jersey love for all things Italian (despite being a freckled redhead with zero ties to the old country), Jamo knew she was onto something. After all, everyone thinks their Nonna makes the best meatballs—until they try hers.
By day, Jamie is a business school professor and former startup strategist who’s spent years helping entrepreneurs build their dream businesses. Now, she’s addressing a real-world problem of her own: the serious lack of truly delicious, handmade meatballs in the wild.
Jamo’s Meatballs are simple, nostalgic, and packed with flavor—and, more importantly, made with the kind of love and sass only Jamie can bring to the table. Because if you’re going to do meatballs, you better do them right. And this redhead isn’t messing around.
